Europe how to prepare for your trip ?
As we believe in a more personal healing experience, space will be limited to 8 people. This will enable the shaman and staff to be available to you at all times.
We will all share the same house and schedule activities to connect with each other and understand the experience more deeply.
There will be talks about different medicines during the retreat, and we will provide you with all the info and support you need throughout your process.
TRANSPORT
We will provide all the details on how to get to the ceremonial space when we release the dates of the next ceremony.
PREPARE YOUR TRIP
As you may already know, when it comes to medicine, one of the basics is preparing yourself for the experience.
It is important to be as clean as possible in every aspect of your being, as this will benefit the experience, making it easier to connect with yourself and work at a deeper level.
Some of the next guidelines are only recommendations, but there are aspects that are obligatory to follow with experience.
If, by any chance, you cannot follow any of the obligatory guidelines as you get closer to the retreat, please let us know so we can handle your situation appropriately.
WHAT TO BRING
When you are packing, try not to bring the whole closet; you are only coming for 1 week. Please be prepared for all weather and temperature conditions.
We have made a packing list for you not to miss the essentials:
- Water bottle
- Journal & pen
- Red Flashlight
- Lighters
- Books to read
- Sleeping bag
- A microfibre towel
Ceremony clothes: very comfortable, loose-fitting, so you can move freely and enjoy the experience, yet warm enough to keep you from getting chilly at night.
PLANT MEDICINE DIET
It is recommended to start the diet at least 2 weeks before taking the medicine.
- It is essential to avoid pork and spicy food.
- It is essential to stop drinking alcohol, taking drugs, and antidepressant or anxiolytic medications at least 3 weeks before the first ceremony.
- Avoid products with tyramine, as they interfere with MAOI enzyme inhibitors.
- Avoid eating processed sugar and industrial pastries.
- Reduce the amount of salt in the food.
- Avoid fried and high-fat foods.
- Avoid products with high caffeine levels.
- It is recommended to avoid red meat and other meats (if needed, you can eat chicken, fish, or turkey).
- It is recommended not to have sexual activity at least 1 week before the first ceremony.
About Medication
Do not take any medication for at least 2 weeks before you come to us. If you have any doubts, please check with us so we can ask our doctors.
About Medical History
If you have had any psychotic episodes or a family history of schizophrenia, please let us know so we can set an interview to talk about the risks of taking medicine with this kind of history.
ABOUT DRUGS and ALCOHOL
Stay away from any substances for at least 2 weeks before the first intake; a month would be better. Drugs (including marijuana) and alcohol will block your experience with the plant medicine. Even though marijuana is a plant medicine, it has an uncorrelated “relation” with our medicine, and if marijuana is present in your system, you may find yourself spending the night dealing with that energy. It may also restrict your ability to connect fully with your inner self and Mother Ayahuasca during the ceremony.
It is absolutely forbidden to take antidepressants, anxiolytics, or any other medications in conjunction with plant medicine.
About Sex
Do not have sexual activity for a week before coming to do medicine (We know…sorry!)
When we have sex, there is a very powerful exchange of energy, and we recommend that you stay as clear as possible in order to have the best experience.
Special Requests & Allergies
If you have a special food request or any allergies we should know about, please let us know so we can inform our cooks.
