The people of Limongema mainly support themselves by fishing, hunting, making tapestries, and selling handmade jewelry. That said, the community is rather poor, with many lacking running water, bathrooms, or showers, so they have to bathe at the river. It is the goal of our center to help make life a little easier for the community to which we belong.

Donations of all kinds are greatly appreciated, including things like:

  • First aid supplies
  • Books
  • Clothing
  • Footwear
  • Art Supplies
  • Sports Equipment
  • Toys

Quarterly Donation Campaigns for the Village Children 

With a main focus on the Christmas season, we organize an amazing children’s day during which we give clothes, toys, and chocolate. When funds are available, we attempt to activate this quarterly. The time dedicated to that entire day celebrating and playing with them, laughing, and spreading love lights up the entire community. 

We are forever grateful to all the generous benefactors who commit to these amazing efforts and truly leave a lasting positive impact on the next generation.

Ongoing Projects

Our goal is to improve the conditions in which the native community lives, particularly for its children.
We aim to continue to assist with resources to bring specialized teachers to the village to help educate the villagers, both young and old, in the following:
 
  • English
  • Dancing
  • Women’s rights
  • Best practices for childcare
  • General education
Bringing solar panels and public Internet is a long-term goal we hope to achieve one day.
